Hello all,

I have a few email addresses that are being returned as undeliverable.  I made some corrections and this is a test to see if they are delivered.

The monthly membership committee is this Thursday night at 7:00 p.m.  It has been a very busy & hectic 2 months, but things have calmed down.  The board is eager to move forward with the items on our agenda of helping Marines, Veterans, and the Community.  We need the Marines at the meetings to learn, vote, and become involved in what we need to do to get the Detachment moving in the direction of getting this accomplished.  I know there are many different ideas that the Marines have and what they want to do, but we are all Marines and we need to get back to the MCL mission while we work out any differences we may have.  There is so much talent & experience among our Marines and there is no limit to what we can accomplish for our local Marines, Veterans, and our community...the pride, alone, in what we can accomplish will overcome many differences....MARINES NEVER QUIT....MARINES ARE NOT THE PROBLEM, MARINES ARE THE SOLUTION!!! 

I want to thank my officers Dewayne Mackey, Frank Leonard, & Mike Brooks for "hanging in there" during the past two months while I have been very busy with the paymaster, Marty Reardon, taking care of problems we have had.  There is no way I can express in words how fortunate I am to have Marty as paymaster.   I wish I could take the credit for him becoming the Paymaster, but God must have known that I and the Detachment would need him and that must be why he moved here from Connecticut.  He truly is a great Marine. They are all wonderful & dedicated and I and you are very fortunate to have them on the board.  If for no other reason, but for the fact they keep me sane & straight....for any of you who have had to deal with me and my crazy brain, which is a curse, will understand that!!! lol
